Australian Catholic Bishops Conference secretly utilises parishioners funds for its campaign to promote The Voice - Bishop Vincent Long, chair of the Bishops Commission for Social Justice and leading Voice advocate has refused to answer questions about financial impropriety raised by his parishioners

 by Ganesh Sahathevan

Bishop Vincent Long is a good example of a bishop financing his pet projects with parishoers'                 money

Bishop Vincent Long OFM Conv is Bishop of Parramatta and chair of the Bishops Commission for Social Justice, Mission and Service of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference..

As previously reported on this blog, the  Australian Catholic Bishops' Conference has taken to Youtube to promote the Yes vote in the coming Voice  referendum , without first consulting with the faithful. This is not the first occasion on which bishops have taken off on a frolic of their own with other peoples' money for  unbeknownst  to most Catholics, the bishops do what they do with money from parishioners.

Vincent Long himself  has been subject of "claims of financial corruption and mismanagement" from his parishioners which he has studiously ignored.
