The CALPERS Electric Utilities Report was based on responses from 112 of 265 global power companies surveyed by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), a venture by 225 institutional investors with $31.5 trillion under management. It said for future releases, it would provide two sets of results to comply with both MASB and IFRS standards ."The deviation arose because the Malaysian accounting standard does not allow the company to recognise the investment tax allowance granted to it by the government," the statement said.
