NSW offered Chinese residents free COVID testing and treatment, but refused to lockdown Willoughby and other Chinese centres, or order compulsory testing

As this writer has noted and tweeted:
On or around 29 January 2020 NSW CHO Kerry Chant spoke specifically to the Chinese community.Chinese in Australia who do not qualify for Medicare were offered free testing and treatment. Despite these precautions Chant encouraged everyone to visit ,not avoid, "cosmopolitan" areas.

However, despite the concerns, Willoughby and other areas with significant Chinese populations were not locked down, and its residents not subject to mandatory testing. In contrast, residents of the Northern Beaches have been subjected to restrictions and testing after just one or two cases were detected.

CHO Kerry Chant's speech to a Chinese audience, where the offer of free testing and treatment was made, likely in Willoughby, can be viewed at this link https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=170374194298490.

Willoughby excluded from enhanced WuhanCovid19 testing: It is not racist to target suburbs with a high concentration of Chinese residents living in high rise apartments, in an area that has been identified with the Wuhan Virus.

Premier Glady Berejiklian's constituency in Willoughby has again been excluded from WuhanCovid19 testing. This is despite the fact of its proximity to  Ground Zero. The area bounded by the three schools highlighted in the map below include the suburbs of Chatswood, Ryde and Epping which have large Asian populations, many of whom are from China.

This list is the latest from NSW Health:

Areas for increased testing and surveillance

As before, Willoughby Council is conspicuously absent.
It does seem as if the Premier is more concerned about her prospects of re-election, than the welfare of the state.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian's latest hotspot map seems to have gaps in and around her Willoughby constituency : Have persons in these areas been tested, or is this a case of deliberately ignoring inconvenient evidence

by Ganesh Sahathevan

There seems to be a gap in NSW's COVID19/Wuhan Virus mapping. The map below shows hotspots

A gap seems to have appeared in the area above Ryde and below the Northern Beaches. The area includes Premier Gladys Berejiklian's Willoughby constituency. In and around that area include the suburbs of Chatswood, Eastwood, Artarmon  and Lane Cove which have large migrant communities from China.

The public is entitled to know the extent of testing for COVID 19 in those areas. It does appear as if there has been an attempt to ensure that evidence that inconvenient is never produced.
