The issues raised below, which concern MP for Cowan Anne Aly, remain unresolved. The response from WA Corruption & Crime Commissioner John McKechnie  adds to the mystery. 

The new foreign interference laws provide another avenue for investigation into the matter. There was nothing in the email sent by this writer to Ms Aly that concerned Malaysia, or any other country.

were brought to the attention of The Hon John McKechnie QC,the current Commissioner, WA Corruption and Crime ,given the security implications that arise from the connections between PAVE and one David (Dave) Allen, currently Assistant Director Intelligence,WA CCC.


McKechnie's response is as follows:

Thank you for the email. I am the Corruption and Crime Commissioner. I will decide if and when Mr Allens security clearance should be reconsidered but nothing in this email is either new or worthy of consideration.

Readers have now confirmation from no  less a personage than the WA CCC Commissioner himself, a former judge and QC,of the fact of Aly's Dubai connection, and her referring  queries about her work to person or persons in Malaysia and Singapore.
With regards these matters being not "worthy of consideration", clearly the commissioner and former judge , despite his new position, has much to learn about how and why information is sought, acquired ,traded and utilized. 
That lesson will have to be in an another posting, but some material has been provided below to allow readers to determine the matter for themselves, These notes were provided the Commissioner.

Canadian-born Allen, a tall, muscular figure who trained as a police security expert, made a timely entrance into Aly’s life. As her profile has risen, so have the death threats. Aly wrote about it on her blog, in a rebuke against Prime Minister Tony Abbott’s comments about the need for the Muslim community to denounce terrorism, which she paraphrased as: “Muslims don’t speak out and they don’t mean it when they do”.

Who authorised former NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller to say anything about the Berejiklian era quarantine fee and why? Fuller's notice confirms suspicion that NSW Berejiklian government had no basis to impose the quarantine fee, nor quarantine persons who were COVID negative

Fuller's issuance of his  COVID  quarantine notice, and subsequent silence, would seem to confirm suspicions raised on this blog that NSW's Berejiklian government had no basis to impose its quarantine fee. Fuller's conduct also adds to suspicion that the Berejiklian government did not have the authority, even under its COVID emergency powers, to quarantine persons who were COVID negative. International arrivals had to test negative for COVID before boarding their flights to Sydney, and tests had to be administered within 72 hours of departure. Revenue NSW COVID Quarantine Fee payment demand notices suggest that Police Commissioner Mick Fuller breached the law with his demand for quarantine fees

 By Ganesh Sahathevan  Anyone who has received a Revenue NSW Quarantine Fee demand for payment notice  will be familiar with these words that are contained in the notice: What is the quarantine service fee? A mandatory quarantine service fee applies to all travellers arriving in New South Wales (NSW) who are required to quarantine as part of the public health order. Mandatory quarantine is needed to stop the spread. of COVID-19 in NSW The qurantine fee has been charged pursuant to Section 70 of  the NSW Health Act. However, as previously reported, that section does not permit any imposition of mandatory fees.  However, in apparent defiance of Section 70 of the Health Act, Fuller issued a notice   in which he said  that Revenue NSW " will be charging a mandatory quarantine fee".
