Has Dan Andrews rejected Professor Tony Blakely's advice on ideological grounds? Blakely and Nick Wilson were among the few who provided expert analysis and commentary on the matter of the costs of the lockdown.
Daniel Andrews and the like ignored costs, and attempted to overcome that deficiency in their policy making processes by repeating , mantra like, the assertion that unless the "health issues" were eradicated or at least controlled, there would be nu economy.
The very heading of the Blakely-Wilson analysis , THE MATHS AND ETHICS OF MINIMISING COVID-19 DEATHS, would be anathema to Andrews. Additionally Andrews is probably concerned that if he adopts Blakely's more recent advice that a lockdown s not necessary, his error in ordering the first lockdown in March-June may be seen to be a grave error, that continues to cost Victoria and Australia very many billions.
