In 2012 Labor fast tracked the visa application of well known jihadi Dr Tareq Al-Suwaidan ,despite the US ICE evidence against him

While Kristina Kenneally rallies the troops against "right-wing commentator Raheem Kassam's upcoming visit to Australia" it is useful to recall that in 2012 Chris Bowen, the then Minister for Immigration, fast tracked if not did not object to a visa being issued to Dr Tareq Al-Suwaidan a well known jihadi, thus enabling his speaking tour of Australia.

 Bowen and Labor did so despite the evidence of Suwaidan's jihadi activities contained in official US Government documents that were in the public domain.


David Kane was the  Senior Special Agent with the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement ("ICE") who undertook some of the earliest investigations into terrorist financing after 9-11.
His affidavit in the matter of Soliman Bieheri provided details of the extensive business networks that supported Al-Qaeda.
In that affidavit he  devoted an entire section to Dr Tareq Al-Suwaidan.That section has been reproduced below.Attention is drawn to the parts which refer to the need for Jihad. Extracts from the Kane affidavit concerning Tareq Al-Suwaidam


 
TAREQ SUWAIDAN
15. I have reviewed the Articles of Incorporation for Kadi International, Inc., a New Jersey
corporation organized on July 31, 1991. The President of the company is Yasin al-Kadi, who in
my prior Declaration I stated, was designated an SDGT on October 12, 2001. The Vice-
President/Secretary of Kadi International was Tareq Al-Swaidan. I have reviewed several
statements made by Dr. Tareq Suwaidan, who is a Kuwaiti businessman and lecturer. I believe
this individual and the Tareq Al-Swaidan on the articles of incorporation are one and the same.
In fact, I have examined a document entitled "Management Consultancy Agreement Between
Kadi International, Inc. and BMI Real Estate Development, Inc.. This document is executed on
behalf of Kadi International by its Vice President. While the typed signature block reads "Dr.
Tareq Al-Swaidan," the written signature appears to be spelled "Tareq Al-Suwaidan."

16. According to the Chicago Sun Times newspaper in an article entitled "Muslims Urged to
Liberate the 'Holy Land,'" dated November 25, 2000, Tareq Al Suwaidan, addressed the
attendees at a Palestinian Convention in Rosemont, Ill. He stated:
Muslims would give their blood, Muslims would give their hearts,
Muslims would sacrifice their sons for the Holy mosque of Al
Aqsa.
17. A transcript of video of that same conference, shows Suwaidian stating:
Palestine will not be liberated but through Jihad. Nothing can be
achieved without sacrificing blood. The Jews will meet their end at
our hands.
18. The article reported another statement by Suwaidan. Referring to the Israeli-Palestinian
conflict Suwaidan stated:
Anyone who tries to mess around with this. . . . will be faced with
the whole Muslim world moving as one . . . You are the spear that
would liberate the Holy land. Every Muslim in the world is behind
You.
19. The
Toronto Star newspaper, in an article entitled "Help Cure West's Ills, Muslims
Told," dated January 6, 2003, reported that Tareq Suwaidan addressed more than 2000 persons at
the "Reviving the Islamic Spirit Conference" in Toronto. The article identified Suwaidan as
American educated and a member of the Kuwaiti branch of the Muslim Brotherhood. He was
quoted as saying:
It (the West) will continue to grow until an outside force hits it and
you will be surprised at how quickly it falls. . . . It is the duty of
local Muslims to help cure America's inner decay.
20. According to the article Suwaidan explained that civilizations historically fall because of
a combination of two things. "One of them is to be from within rotten - no ethics, no family
structure, injustice, materialistic world." He stated that corruption was not enough. "The second
thing that must happen for a civilization to collapse is an attack from the outside."

Who authorised former NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller to say anything about the Berejiklian era quarantine fee and why? Fuller's notice confirms suspicion that NSW Berejiklian government had no basis to impose the quarantine fee, nor quarantine persons who were COVID negative

Fuller's issuance of his  COVID  quarantine notice, and subsequent silence, would seem to confirm suspicions raised on this blog that NSW's Berejiklian government had no basis to impose its quarantine fee. Fuller's conduct also adds to suspicion that the Berejiklian government did not have the authority, even under its COVID emergency powers, to quarantine persons who were COVID negative. International arrivals had to test negative for COVID before boarding their flights to Sydney, and tests had to be administered within 72 hours of departure. A mandatory quarantine service fee applies to all travellers arriving in New South Wales (NSW) who are required to quarantine as part of the public health order. Mandatory quarantine is needed to stop the spread. of COVID-19 in NSW The qurantine fee has been charged pursuant to Section 70 of  the NSW Health Act. However, as previously reported, that section does not permit any imposition of mandatory fees.  However, in apparent defiance of Section 70 of the Health Act, Fuller issued a notice   in which he said  that Revenue NSW " will be charging a mandatory quarantine fee".
