Qantas bans Fraser Anning from its VIP lounges: Qantas is demonstrating how it uses shareholders' funds to punish and influence politicians

Story from MSN.com republished as is below.

It is one thing to make a political donation  where one can at least pretend that the act is an unbiased contribution to the political process; it is another thing all together to  exclude from corporate facilities a sitting politician.
Access to the VIP lounges is by invitation only, and that in itself is evidence of Qantas attempting to interfere in government.Punishment, as is the case in the matter of Fraser Anning, makes that interference even more obvious.

Qantas has blocked controversial Australian senator Fraser Anning from entering the airline's VIP Chairman's Lounge.

He's reportedly not happy about it and wants answers from the airline's CEO.

Anning was censured in parliament in Canberra on Wednesday following his 'appaling' remarks about the Christchurch terror attack.

"The real cause of bloodshed on New Zealand streets today is the immigration program that allowed Muslim fanatics to migrate to New Zealand in the first place," Anning claimed after the March 15 massacre at two mosques that left 50 dead and 50 injured.

"This kind of violent vigilantism can never be justified, what it highlights is the growing fear within our community, both in Australia and New Zealand, of the increasing Muslim presence."

The Chairman's Lounge is an exclusive, elite service that is only available by personal invitation from the airline.

Seven News reports Qantas' board made the decision and although the airline hasn't confirmed it, Anning's office confirmed it to media.

Anning has reportedly requested a personal meeting with Qantas CEO Alan Joyce about the decision, according to his spokesperson.

Although Anning's comments about the Christchurch terror attack have been widely condemned, the move by Qantas is being labelled "an unjustified attack on free speech" by One Nation member Malcolm Roberts
