NSW premier Mike Baird has refused to back Barangaroo Delivery Authority board member Jon Issacs, when questions were put with regards Issacs conduct as chairman of the charity, Ability Options (photo above).

Ability Options is the charity at the centre of a number of JobActive contract irregularities.Ability claims to be entitled to funding from the Commonwealth's JobActive scheme despite not being awarded a JobActive contract. Apart from what may well be an illegal use of Commonwealth funding, serious and widespread privacy issues have also arisen.

Issacs and his board of directors at Ability have maintained a stony silence despite these issues being brought to their attention. The matters raised are often matters of public record, to be found in Ability's own somewhat contradictory public statements with regards the JobActive contracts.

Issacs , a long time civil servant is an "independent" director and member of the Barangaroo Delivery Authority's Audit and Risk Management Committee, appointed on 12 February 2014 for a three year term. The NSW Premier Mike Baird has portfolio responsibility for the Barangaroo Delivery Authority.
