PEXCO's Sean Guest attempts to ammend the record-Unfortunately the Net never forgets

Having become something of an Internet sensation lately, oil company PEXCO's  CEO has amended  his profile in an attempt to wish away his new found fame.

Mr Guest has gone from this:

Last year in Malaysia, Pexco Sarawak signed 4 PSCs for the large area west of the prolific Central Luconia Platform where there is more than 35Tcf of recoverable gas. The area covers almost 25,000km2 and makes Pexco one of the largest acreage holders in Malaysia.

To this:
Last year in Malaysia, Pexco Sarawak signed 4 PSCs off west of the prolific Central Luconia Platform. The area covers ~25,000km2 and has been under-explored in recent decades

Unfortunately for Mr Guest the older, less modest profile has been copied and pasted on a large number of websites, in at least three languages,  and reported in publications such as Singapore's Business Times.
One feels some sympathy for the man, but then he  should have known better, given that his boss is the notoriously secretive Malaysian billionaire T.Anandakrishnan. Indeed, given that relationship. one wonders why Mr Guest feels the need to advertise himself on something as common as Linkedin.
END
THE NEW

Background

Summary

Pexco is a private oil & gas company focused on the Indian Ocean rim and has been operating for 25 years. It has interests in ~20 permits in Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia and Ethiopia. The majority ~10kboe/d production comes from gas condensate fields in Australia. Pexco operates ½ of their PSCs and is a full-life cycle operator from exploration through to production.

In Australia, the Company operates under Benaris and has 27.8% interest in the Otway Gas Project. This exploration acreage was initially acquired by Benaris and was later farmed down leading to the discovery of the Thylacine Gas Field. Thylacine has been on production for 5 years. This year the Venture completed a $½ billion development of the Geographe field. Benaris continues to be active in exploration and is looking for further opportunities in Australia.

Pexco has been exploring in Indonesia for 12 years and presently has 6 PSCs covering an area of almost 27,000km2. The Company has just commenced production from its first operated oil field in Sumatra. The Budi oil development is on budget and first oil was achieved within 1 year of approval. In the Lhokseumawe PSC off North Sumatra, a FDP is being prepared for a condensate-rich gas field only 5 km from the Arun LNG plant. Pexco continues to be very active in exploration where it has acquired more ~10,000km2 of 3D seismic and drilled 6 exploration wells recently.

Last year in Malaysia, Pexco Sarawak signed 4 PSCs off west of the prolific Central Luconia Platform. The area covers ~25,000km2 and has been under-explored in recent decades. In 2013, Pexco is acquiring 3600km2 of 3D seismic in preparation for exploration drilling.

Pexco has been operating in East Africa since 2005. Its Ethiopian PSC covers is more than 25,000km2 and is on trend with existing multi-tcf gas-condensate fields. The Company has a strong desire to grow internationally and is chasing further exciting new business activities in Southeast Asia and into East Africa.
